Become a Certified Master Gardener Volunteer


Who can participate?
Any adult (18 years or older) can participate in the Master Gardener program. No previous experience or training is necessary.

Learn – Complete the Foundations in Horticulture training provided online by the UW Division of Extension. This course will provide 12+ modules on horticulture topics through videos, readings, activities and live webinars. The cost for this training is $299.
 
Accomplish – Complete an onboarding class that will explain your role as a volunteer representative of the UW Extension Service and complete the Master Gardener Entrace Exam. Onboard costs $100.
 
Do – Once you become a Master Gardener Volunteer, you are expected to enhance your local community by volunteering at an approved Master Gardener project. You also must complete at least one hour of continuing education every year through approved seminars, reading and other programming.
